About Christmas in Canaan
TV-PG-L. DJ and Rodney are in 5th grade living in Canaan, Texas in the 1960s. They get in a scuffle on the bus and Daniel, DJ's father, realizes DJ starting to hate black people. Daniel talks with Rodney's grandma and they decide to let the boys live together for one week. During that week, they find a pup who was shot by the neighbor and they bond with each other of the dog. This starts a lifelong friendship between the two and Rodney becomes one of the family.
